Get to know me better
You can usually find me working from home in ripped jeans, a cheery graphic tank top, obsessing over interiors and working with amazing Interior Designers on insane projects - like houses with elevators and SLIDES in them! If I’m not working, you will find me either watching Netflix, playing games with family, or at the beach.
If you are looking for my professional qualifications instead, I have that too – look over to the right / or down below if you’re on a phone - - otherwise continue to read my story.
I grew up in a fairly small town in Connecticut just minutes away from the University of Connecticut. Most people know the College Basketball Programs, but you might not know it originally was an Agricultural School. Yes, I am talking about FARMING! There was literally a barn across the street from where I grew up and my grandmother lived next door in the original farmhouse built in 1740! I love a good country drive on a winding road, going on hikes, and just being in nature. Now that I live in Florida, that usually means going to the beach.
My design style you ask?
The short version: California Casual.
The longer version:
First: I believe a room should be a reflection of a person’s personality.
Secondly, I like to create livable interiors at an affordable rate.
Most of my projects are completed with a splurge and save mentality; splurge on good bones and save on accessories. California casual is a mixture of my previous favorites: Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian, and Boho. My styling projects have an overall global aesthetic, sometimes without color and sometime with bold, fun colors, layers of texture, and of course, greenery.
Years from now, I want you to have created the best memories in the family and pet-friendly interiors we create together. Yes, we can find $400 pillows (yes, you read that right), but mostly, my wish is for those sectionals to get popcorn on them while having a movie night and not feel like you need to live a minimal lifestyle that was copied out of a design magazine.
My interiors are inspired by the serenity felt at the beach. Here are some of my favorite pictures I’ve taken (and edited) from around Port Saint Lucie, FL.
